WELCOME TO KANNADA KALI

As parents we always feel that our children should learn our Mother Tongue and experience the joy of expressing their emotions in Kannada Language.

With the intention to pass on the essence of Kannada language, culture, history, and basic literature to our kids in a fun filled teaching environment we started “Paatashaaley” – An activity center, in Jan 2018. Along with focus on Indian cultural heritage and tradition we also conduct Kannada Language classes to the children in our community.

Kannada Abhivruddhi Praadhikaara (KAPr), The Kannada development division of Karnataka Government has applauded our efforts and supports our initiative of promoting the “Kannada Kali” Program.

About “Kannada Kali” program:

A wonderful platform for all our kids to learn our mother tongue - Kannada. The classes are run by Kannada Sanghas / Groups / community volunteers.

Our Objectives:

• Use of a common syllabus approved by KAPr.

• Encourage Kannada speaking and writing.

• Provide a platform to learn and enact Kannada skits, dramas, and songs.

• Have fun and socialize in our mother tongue.

• Examination conducted 2 times a year to make learning interesting and challenging.

• Award Certificates duly signed and issued by KAPr to encourage and appreciate the children’s and parents’ efforts

 

Advantages:

• Children will be able fluently converse, read and write Kannada.

• Appreciate the immense literature available in our language.

• To be proud of knowing a language which has a history of more than two thousand year.

• Maintain the heritage, culture and language of Karnataka for future generation of Kannada immigrants.
